The South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) yesterday announced a senior management team restructuring that includes several promotions.

The authority promoted Christopher Bross from director of procurement to deputy executive director of operations, and Dianelys Hernandez Del Calvo from director of administration and EEO officer to deputy executive director of administration and EEO officer.

Bross had served as the SFRTA's chief contracting officer for more than 14 years. He now will oversee operations, safety and security, engineering, procurement and information technology. Bross joined the authority in 1996 after serving at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.

Hernandez Del Calvo was director of administration for more than 14 years. She now will manage administration, human resources, finance, and planning and capital development, as well as EEO responsibilities. She has served the SFRTA for nearly 20 years.

Meanwhile, the authority also promoted these managers to the following director-level positions: Loraine Kelly-Cargill, director of planning and capital development; Ralph Rapa, director of operations; M. David Trabal, director of human resources; and Vicki Wooldridge, director of government affairs.

Kelly-Cargill has served the SFRTA for over 20 years in various capacities within the planning and capital development department, while Rapa joins the authority with more than 12 years of railroad experience at Amtrak and Transdev.

Trabal joined the SFRTA in 2008 and since has served as human resource manager and customer service supervisor, and Wooldridge joined the authority in 2008 as government affairs manager.

"It was time to shuffle the deck, and who better to fill the open leadership spots than the members of the existing senior management team, who have more than a century of SFRTA experience between them," said SFRTA Executive Director Steven Abrams in a press release.
