The Twin Cities & Western Railroad Co. (TC&W) has promoted Tina Ryberg to assistant vice president of administration and operations.

Based at TC&W's headquarters in Glencoe, Minnesota, Ryberg oversees the railroad's transportation operations, maintenance of way, mechanical, safety, accounting, human resources and administration departments.

Her responsibilities were formerly filled by Victor Meyers, VP of operations, who left in January 2018 to become president of the Red River Valley & Western Railroad.

Ryberg began her 15-year railroad career with TC&W in 2004. Most recently, she served as TC&W's administration manager since 2011.

Her recent promotion will enable TC&W President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Wegner to focus on the organization's long-term growth, Wegner said in a press release.

The 229-mile TC&W began operations in 1991 between St. Paul-Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Milbank, South Dakota. Its Minnesota Prairie Line subsidiary operates 94 miles of line between Norwood and Hanley Falls, Minnesota. In July 2012, TC&W acquired the Sisseton-Milbank Railroad, operating 37 miles of line between its namesake cities in South Dakota.
