Transplace appoints Abernathy EVP of sales, marketing

On March 1, Transplace Inc. named George Abernathy executive vice president of sales and marketing. He will report to President and Chief Executive Officer Thomas Sanderson.
Serving in transportation logistics and supply-chain management for more than 20 years, Abernathy most recently served NTE Inc. and Clicklogistics as senior VP. He previously served Logistics.com as VP of sales and marketing, and held senior management positions at The Sabre Group, North American Van Lines, J.B. Hunt Transport Services and LinkMark International.
A third-party logistics provider, Transplace offers various transportation-management services, including outsourcing, single-source shipment transportation assistance, and automated employee file maintenance and compliance processing.
