Trinity Metro in Fort Worth, Texas, has hired Mike Stolzman as vice president and chief operating officer of rail.

He has more than 20 years of railroad experience. In 1995, he joined the Chicago and Northwestern Railway Co., which was later purchased by Union Pacific Railroad.

During his stint at Anacostia & Pacific, Stolzman was president of three separate short lines, including the Pacific Harbor Line, which serves the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, Trinity Metro officials said in a press release.

Meanwhile, Trinity Metro promoted Reed Lanham to VP of strategy and technology. He oversees strategic leadership, future initiatives and relationship management with the Federal Railroad Administration, Federal Transit Administration and regional transportation agencies. He also oversees Trinity Metro's positive train control efforts and develops new strategies for evolving technology.

Lanham joined Trinity Metro in 2015 as director of rail safety and regulatory compliance for the North Texas region and later became manager of rail operations. Prior to joining the agency, he was manager of safety and compliance at Herzog Technologies Inc.
