Twin Cities & Western Railroad Co. (TC&W) recently named Mark Wegner senior vice president and general manager, according to American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association's bi-weekly newsletter.

In 1991, Wegner joined the 229-mile short line as accounting manager. In 1993, he was named comptroller, assuming additional responsibilities in July 2002 as SVP and GM of sister short line Minnesota Prairie Line (MPL). Prior to TC&W, Wegner served Moore Data as senior accountant.

TC&W also appointed Jack Anderson to the newly created position of chief mechanical officer, responsible for sister roads TC&W, MPL, and Red River Valley & Western Railroad Co.

In 2001, Anderson joined TC&W as transportation specialist. Since October 2002, he's served the short line as manager of locomotives. Anderson previously held various positions with Generation II Locomotives and St. Paul Pioneer Press.
