Twin Cities & Western promotes Wegner to EVP and COO

The Twin Cities & Western Railroad Co. (TC&W) recently promoted Senior Vice President and General Manager Mark Wegner to executive vice president and chief operating officer. Reporting to TC&W President and Chief Executive Officer William Drusch, Wegner also will serve as EVP and COO of the 229-mile short line’s Minnesota Prairie Line Inc. affiliate.

Since joining TC&W in 1991, he has held stints as SVP and GM of the 94-mile Minnesota Prairie Line, comptroller and accounting manager. He previously served as a senior accountant at Moore Data.

Formed in 1991, TC&W operates lines between St. Paul, Minn., and Milbank, S.D.; Minnesota Prairie Line operates a Minnesota Valley Regional Railroad Authority-owned line between Norwood and Hanley Falls, Minn.
