Twin Cities & Western promotes Wegner to senior VP/GM post

Twin Cities & Western Railroad Co. (TC&W) and its Red River Valley & Western Railroad and Minnesota Prairie Line affiliates recently promoted two executives to key management posts.
On Nov. 18, TC&W announced it had promoted Mark Wegner to senior vice president and general manager. Wegner, who has been the 229-mile regional's comptroller since 1993, also serves as Minnesota Prairie Line's senior VP and GM.
Also, Jack Anderson was promoted to the newly created post of chief mechanical officer for the three railroads. He's been TC&W's manager of locomotives since October 2002.
Established in 1991, TC&W operates between St. Paul, Minn., and Milbank, S.D. Red River Valley & Western, which started operations in 1987, owns or operates 517 track miles in central and southeastern North Dakota, and western Minnesota. Minnesota Prairie Line operates between Norwood and Hanley Falls, Minn., on 94 track miles owned by Minnesota Valley Railroad Authority.
