Union Pacific Corp.’s board recently elected Andrew Card as a member, increasing the number of directors to 10.
From November 2000 to April 2006, Card was President Bush’s chief of staff. During his government career, Card also served as secretary of transportation, deputy assistant to former President Ronald Reagan and director of intergovernmental affairs. In the private sector, he held such positions as vice president of government relations for General Motors Corp., and president and chief executive officer of the American Automobile Manufacturers Association.
