Union Pacific Railroad has named Michael Miller vice president and treasurer effective Feb. 1, 2022, to succeed Gary Grosz, who is retiring.

Miller is currently assistant VP of corporate finance and assistant treasurer and has been with UP for 28 years. He has held many roles in finance, including in budgeting, business development and planning, corporate audit, cost and profit management, and investor relations. In his new role, Miller will report to executive VP and Chief Financial Officer Jennifer Hamann.

Grosz will retire March 1, 2022 after nearly 40 years with UP. He served as AVP of corporate finance and assistant treasurer for almost 20 years before he was promoted to VP and treasurer in April 2019. He also held roles in corporate audit, investor relations and planning and analysis.
