UP's Chandler becomes National Association of Railway Business Women's 37th president
The National Association of Railway Business Women (NARBW) recently elected Cynthia Chandler as national president.
Manager of labor relations program administration for Union Pacific Railroad, Chandler becomes the association’s 37th president. She has more than 30 years of rail industry experience.
Since winning election to NARBW’s national board in 1997, Chandler has served as national first vice president, national third VP, national secretary, national welfare chairman, national revisions chairman and national survival committee chairman.
Founded in 1921, NARBW aims to stimulate interest — particularly among women — in the rail industry. The organization also strives to foster cooperation and better understanding within the industry, improve the industry’s public relations, and further members’ educational, social and professional interests.
