Valley Metro boards elect new officers

The boards of Valley Metro Rail and Valley Metro Regional Public Transportation Authority (RPTA) in the greater Phoenix area of Arizona have elected officers to serve during fiscal-year 2023.

Officers elected to lead the Valley Metro Rail board are Robin Arredondo-Savage as chair and Laura Pastor as vice chair. Arredondo-Savage is a Tempe City councilmember and Pastor is vice mayor of the city of Phoenix.

Officers elected to lead the RPTA board are Pastor as chair, Bill Stipp as vice chair and Kevin Hartke as treasurer. Stipp is a member of the Goodyear City Council and Hartke is mayor of Chandler.

The officers' terms began July 1 and end June 29, 2023.

Valley Metro Rail constructs, operates and maintains light-rail and high-capacity systems in the greater Phoenix area. Valley Metro RPTA plans, develops and operates regional bus service and alternative transportation programs.
