Genesee & Wyoming Inc. (GWI) recently named Jerry Vest vice president of government and industry affairs. He will report to Executive Vice President of Government and Industry Affairs Robert Grossman.
Vest most recently served as VP and general manager for Great Lakes Transportation L.L.C., which was acquired by Canadian National Railway Co. He was responsible for the Bessemer & Lake Erie Railroad’s and Pittsburgh & Conneaut Dock Co.’s operations. Vest previously held marketing, customer development, sales, customer service and strategic planning positions with CSX Transportation and Conrail.
GWI owns and operates 47 regionals and short lines in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia and Bolivia, including 39 U.S. railroads.
