Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) recently named Rita Davis Green and Yellow Line manager. She will responsible for the two lines and 29 stations.
Davis, who joined WMATA 31 years ago as a bus operator, most recently served as general superintendent of rail transportation.
Earlier this year, an outside peer review panel comprising officials from six subway systems recommended WMATA appoint line managers to improve reliability. In May, the authority appointed Belynda Jones Red Line manager; in September, WMATA named Charles Dziduch Blue/Orange line manger.
