On March 22, Wabtec Corp. announced President and Chief Executive Officer Gregory Davies will undergo surgery later this week to remove a brain tumor, then receive radiation treatments for several weeks. He is expected to make a full recovery and resume his duties in June.

In the meantime, several managers will assume Davies' responsibilities, with support provided by Chairman William Kassling, Wabtec officials said in a prepared statement.

"Our top priority is to make sure that Greg can focus all his energy on recovery," said Kassling. "Wabtec has a strong management team that will continue to execute the strategies and policies already in place until Greg returns."
