Watco Transportation Services L.L.C. has named Steve Beske general manager and James Fuchs, assistant general manager of the Wisconsin & Southern Railroad L.L.C. (WSOR). Earlier this year, Watco acquired a controlling interest in WSOR.

Beske will be responsible for the railroad’s day-to-day operations and report to Director of Operations-West Region Jerry Carter. Most recently WSOR’s superintendent of transportation, Beske previously served CN as assistant superintendent and was a Wisconsin Central Railroad trainmaster when CN acquired the railroad in 2001. He began his railroading career in 1994 as a Wisconsin Central conductor and later served the railroad as a yardmaster.

Fuchs has served CN the past 15 years, most recently as assistant superintendent in the Stevens Point, Wis., area.
