Watco makes three management appointments

Watco Transportation Services L.L.C. has named Doug Halverson regional vice president of operations-East region; Steve Coomes, VP of operations-transportation services; and Brad Peot, marketing manager for the Wisconsin & Southern Railroad.

Halverson joined Watco in 2012 as director of operations-East Region. He previously served Bethlehem Steel Corp. as a strategic sourcing specialist, operations manager and division manager.

Coomes joined Watco last year as director of mechanical services-East Region. He previously was a car repairman and general manager for the Kyle Railroad, and GM of the San Joaquin Valley, San Luis and Rio Grande, New England Central, Connecticut Southern and Alabama Gulf Coast railroads.

Peot most recently was shipping manager for Hi-Crush Operating. Prior to that, he was an account manager for Finger Lakes Railway, and a marketing and sales intern for CN.
