Watco tabs Cassidy as Swan Ranch Railroad's GM

Watco Transportation Services L.L.C. has named Scott Cassidy general manager of the Swan Ranch Railroad (SRRR) in Cheyenne, Wyo.

He joined Watco last year as assistant GM of Black Thunder Switching in Wyoming, then later transferred to the Yellowstone Valley Railroad (YSVR) to become its GM. Earlier this year, Cassidy assumed an operation specialist position in Burley, Idaho, after YSVR downsized. He began his railroading career in 2004 as a conductor and engineer at CSX Transportation.

SRRR, which launched operations in December 2011, operates within the Swan Ranch Industrial Park in Cheyenne. The park is located near BNSF Railway Co. and Union Pacific railroad lines, and interstates 25 and 80.
