White becomes president of X Train

The X Train recently streamlined its leadership reporting structure, which included the promotion of Penny White from chief operations officer-passenger service to president and chief operating officer.

The personnel realignment will allow all daily X Train operations to report to White, including the COO of rail operations, human resources, administration and information technology departments, as well as the X Train Vacations travel agency and on-board services team, railroad officials said in a press release.

Remaining as direct reports to Chief Executive Officer Michael Barron is the accounting team led by Chief Financial Officer Wanda Witoslawski, who has recently appointed Alan Phan as controller. Executive Vice President Joseph Cosio-Barron will continue reporting to Barron.

Barron praised White's leadership at the X Train, a Las Vegas-based luxury passenger-rail service.

"It gives me great pride to promote from within the X Train team, especially in light of the tremendous contributions Penny has made to our success to date," he said. ""Penny's significant leadership, team building and marketing skills as well as her track record previously as the president of a $50 million Vegas based ticketing/entertainment company, consistently demonstrate her ability to excel in this position."
