Wabtec Railway Electronics recently named Mark Whiteman vice president and general manager.
Most recently general manager of Thermo Electron Corp.’s Air Quality Instruments business, Whiteman has 30 years’ experience in industrial and electronic equipment manufacturing. He previously served as general manager of Thermo’s ultraviolet spectroscopy instrumentation unit, vice president and general manager of O.I. Analytical, and general manager of E.I. DuPont’s non-destructive testing equipment business.
A Wabtec Corp. subsidiary, Wabtec Railway Electronics provides electronic train-control equipment, including event recording, end-of-train telemetry, electronic braking and GPS-based systems, and wireless communications.
