Wlotko to retire from Patriot Rail Jan. 1

On Friday, Patriot Rail Corp. announced that Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Stan Wlotko plans to retire on Jan. 1, 2013.
He will assist in the transition of his responsibilities over the next two months. VP of Business Development Paul McCarthy will oversee sales and marketing functions until a permanent successor is named, Patriot Rail officials said in a prepared statement.
Wlotko's 40-year railroading career has included senior management roles in purchasing, rail operations, marketing, project management and outsourced services at Penn Central, Conrail, Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad, Southern Pacific Railroad, Union Pacific Railroad, RailAmerica Inc. and Patriot Rail.
"Stan's notable … career has been diverse and distinguished. We are grateful for his contributions to Patriot Rail and the entire rail industry," said Patriot Rail President and Chief Executive Officer John Fenton.
