At ESG summit, CSX’s Davis discusses the role technology plays in the railroad’s fuel strategy

On Feb. 24, Progressive Railroading hosted a virtual summit on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues. Among the presenters: CSX Director of Fuel Strategy and Utilization Corey Davis.
He talked in detail about how CSX uses technology, including Trip Optimizer (“it’s like a plane’s auto pilot or a car’s cruise control”), to save fuel and reduce emissions, and what the Class I plans to do on the emission-reduction front in the future. Watch/listen to his presentation here:
