CN’s drive to become a “true supply chain enabler" will provide a more efficient transportation system that helps customers better compete in their end markets, CN President and Chief Executive Officer Claude Mongeau said yesterday during an address at the Southeast Freight Conference in Memphis, Tenn.

“The CN team is taking its Precision Railroading model to the next level — delivering on an agenda of operational and service excellence anchored on supply chain collaboration to improve end-to-end service for our customers," he said, according to a press release.

CN’s business model that’s designed to ensure disciplined operational execution and better asset utilization, Precision Railroading now is being followed by a new customer-centric focus and commitment to supply-chain innovation, said Mongeau.

“With a clear strategic agenda driven by our commitment to innovation, productivity and supply chain collaboration, we can create value for our customers, shareholders and the North American economy,” he said.
