The recently completed Chisholm Trail Terminal (CTT) on a Union Pacific Railroad line near Medford, Okla., shipped its first load of grain last week.

The wheat shipment involved 105 train cars. It was the first of many shipments to leave the multi-million-dollar, state-of-the-art facility last week, CTT officials said in a press release.

"This grain shipment is the culmination of five years of planning and 14 months of construction," said Kent Prickett, CTT president and general manager of Farmers Grain Co. "The facility enables us to efficiently move our producer's products to expanded end-user markets."

CTT is owned and operated by Farmers Grain of Pond Creek, Okla.; Equity Marketing Alliance of Enid, Okla.; and CoMark Grain Marketing of Cheney, Kan.
