Last month, Florida Central Railroad Co. Inc. (FCEN) reached a milestone. The 70-mile short line celebrated its 20th anniversary on Nov. 28.

To mark the occasion, the railroad provided rides and lunch for customers, vendors and local dignitaries at its Plymouth, Fla., depot.

A former CSX Transportation property (previously called the Seaboard Airline Railroad), FCEN serves Orlando, Winter Garden, Apopka, Zellwood, Tavares and Eustis. The Pinsly Railroad Co. subsidiary short line moves about 10,000 carloads annually.
