On June 30, Norfolk Southern Railway and Union Pacific Railroad recently began offering eastbound 48- and 53-foot Equipment Management Program container service between Toledo, Ohio, and Dallas, and several West Coast cities. Westbound service began July 2.
Previously, NS and UP offered only trailer service to Ohio Valley shippers. The new service does not involve North American Container System equipment.
