NYRR signs long-term lease with Conrail for New Jersey yard (5/14/2003)
5/14/2023New York Regional Rail Corp. (NYRR) recently finalized a long-term lease with Conrail Shared Asset Corp. for the Greenville Yard in Jersey City, N.J.
The new lease runs until 2023 with a 10-year option to renew, and justifies capital improvements at the facility, said NYRR President Wayne Eastman in a prepared statement. NYRR has an option to lease an additional 4.67-acre parcel for expansion.
A mile-long, 22.27-acre parcel, Greenville Yard serves as NYRR’s New Jersey operations base, and provides direct access to New York Harbor and New York City.
