Rising Star Maria Cristina Oviedo Mireles, who is a member of the Leadership Enrichment Accelerated Development (LEAD) program at Kansas City Southern de Mexico, recently spoke with Progressive Railroading Associate Editor Grace Renderman about her experiences in the program and why she works in rail.
Oviedo Mireles said the LEAD program has taught her how to be a professional, and how to network with railroaders.
Last month, Progressive Railroading held a virtual celebration that recognized Oviedo Mireles, 31, as one of the chosen 25 Rising Stars of the North American rail industry for 2022.
