Progressive Railroading in November polled 14 freight and passenger railroad leaders about their concerns and goals heading into 2015. Excerpted and full responses from 12 of them — which hit on such common themes as advancing critical projects, fostering more reliable service and pursuing positive train control implementation amid an impending federal deadline — formed the "Looking Ahead to 2015" cover story in our December issue.

Following are the full responses from the leaders of Union Pacific Railroad, Metra, CSX Corp., Canadian Pacific and the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority that were partially edited in the cover story. In addition, the top executives at the Regional Transportation District of Denver and OmniTRAX Inc. — who weren't included in the article — provide comments on the coming year.
