The Seattle Monorail Project recently awarded a contract to joint venture Jacobs Engineering Group and Bechtel Infrastructure Corp. to provide facilities engineering for the 14-mile Green Line.

Jacobs will provide design and preliminary engineering for a bridge crossing Seattle’s Salmon Bay and a retrofit of the West Seattle Bridge for monorail technology compatibility.

The Bechtel Jacobs facilities engineering team initially will complete an environmental impact statement, then provide design/build and engineering services.

Several Seattle-based firms will provide the joint venture specialized technical and engineering services.
