The city of Toronto recently issued a request for proposals for a Union Station revitalization project.

The chosen firm will review the Union Station Master plan, develop and implement a public consultation process, and work with city officials to create a revised station plan.

The city council recently approved a 100-year lease agreement for the station with Union Pearson Group, which will restore, revitalize and maintain the facility.

Union Pearson group will clean the station’s interior, repair damaged surfaces, enhance circulation, add station entrances, expand retail services and develop a station maintenance plan.

Construction is expected to begin later this year.
