Santa Clara VTA committee to rank proposed projects
advertisement
Next week, the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority’s (VTA) newly formed Project Priority and Revenue Advisory Committee will hold its first meeting.
The group is charged with reviewing the authority’s project list and prioritizing the projects to help VTA determine how to spend Measure A sales tax dollars.
Approved by Santa Clara County voters in November 2000, Measure A is a 30-year, half-cent sales tax VTA will begin collecting in April. The measure supports a series of transit projects, including light-rail expansions and a Bay Area Rapid Transit extension to the Silicon Valley.
