Next week, San Diego’s North County Transit District will hold a public hearing on a proposed fare increase.
The agency has proposed raising the base COASTER commuter-rail fare from $3.75 to $4; a 10-trip ticket from $34 to $36; and a monthly pass from $105 to $115. If approved by the NCTD board, the fare increase would take effect July 1.
