Bombardier lands fleet support contract from First ScotRail

Bombardier Transportation recently won a $58 million contract from First ScotRail to provide fleet support for the agency’s Class 170 Bombardier-built Turbostar trains.

Through 2011, Bombardier will provide technical support, remote monitoring and diagnostic systems, and spare parts and maintenance materials for 59 of the Scottish agency’s trains.

ScotRail also awarded Bombardier a $3 million contract to deliver and install passenger information systems on Class 158 diesel trains, and upgrade existing information systems on Class 170 vehicles.
