In May, St. Louis’ Metro carried more than 4.4 million passengers system-wide — a 9 percent increase compared with May 2005. Rail ridership also rose 9 percent

More than 1.5 million passengers rode the MetroLink light-rail system while 2.8 million passengers used the MetroBus system.
