Charlotte agency holds hearing on proposed stations
advertisement
Last week, Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) held a public hearing to gather comments on proposed locations for new stations along the North Corridor commuter-rail line.
The agency is proposing Derita, W.T. Harris and Eastfield/Interstate-85 stations. CATS and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Planning Commission officials are trying to determine locations that would maximize land use, ridership potential and network connections.
Extending from the future Charlotte Multimodal Station through Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson and Mooresville, the 30-mile North Corridor will include up to 12 stations.
