Garnett to leave post as Great North Eastern Railway's CEO

Yesterday, Sea Containers Ltd. announced Christopher Garnett, chief executive officer of British passenger railroad subsidiary Great North Eastern Railway (GNER) and Sea Container’s senior vice president of rail, will step down Aug 31. He has served GNER, which provides passenger-rail service between London and Scotland, for 10 years.

Sea Containers President and CEO Bob MacKenzie will become GNER’s executive chairman and assume Garnett’s duties.
