The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) recently named Gale Rossides deputy administrator, a position she's held in an acting capacity since April 2007.

Rossides was one of the federal executives chosen to help build TSA after the agency was established in 2002. She's served in various executive roles, including senior advisor to the deputy secretary, under secretary for management for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and associate administrator for Business Transformation and Culture, helping to establish TSA’s senior leadership team.

Prior to joining TSA, Rossides was first assistant director for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
