In the second quarter of fiscal-year 2008, New Jersey Transit recorded ridership growth of 4.8 percent on the River LINE light-rail system. The agency averaged 7,600 weekday trips — the line’s highest-ever second-quarter ridership.

Monthly pass usage rose 7.6 percent compared with the same 2006 period. Boardings at the two Burlington stations collectively increased 19.6 percent and boardings in Delanco were up 18.9  percent. Ridership on the 34-mile line has steadily increased since it opened four years ago.
