NJ Transit to build station in Wood-Ridge

advertisement

New Jersey Transit’s board recently authorized an agreement with Wood-Ridge Development L.L.C. to jointly design and construct a station and parking facility on the Bergen County Line in Wood-Ridge.

To be called Wesmont Station, the facility will be built at the site of a former industrial plant. The project also calls for constructing an infrastructure maintenance facility and developing the area around the station into a mixed-use neighborhood.

The project is scheduled to begin in 2009 and conclude in 2011.
