This week, the Charlotte Area Transit System will hold two public meetings to provide information on the proposed LYNX Purple Line.

Agency officials will be on hand to discuss proposed station locations, project challenges and next steps for the project, which calls for adding light-rail service from Charlotte Gateway Station to Mount Mourne, N.C.

CATS currently operates the LYNX Blue Line, which runs between uptown Charlotte and Interstate 485 at South Boulevard.
