LACMTA posts rail ridership gains in September

Gas prices declined, but Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) ridership didn't in September.
Average weekday ridership on the Metro Gold Line totaling 25,511 skyrocketed more than 30 percent vs. September 2007's total. The agency's other rail lines posted ridership gains, as well; average weekday boardings totaled 149,699 on the Red/Purple Line (up 9.8 percent), 84,917 on the Blue Line (up 9.1 percent) and 45,346 on the Green Line (up 11.7 percent).
