BNSF Railway Co. once again has landed on LATINA Style magazine’s list of the top 50 Hispanic employers for 2008. The Class I made the annual list of the best U.S. companies for Latinas for the ninth-straight year.

The magazine surveys more than 600 Fortune 1,000 companies to gauge their practices concerning Latina board members, leadership programs, recruiting efforts, employee benefits, mentoring, alternative work arrangements, affinity groups, as well as Latina representation in executive positions and Hispanic community relations.

"Diversity has evolved into an integral part of BNSF's culture and business climate,"said Ed McFalls, BNSF assistant vice president of human resources and diversity, in an item posted on the “BNSF News” Web site.

The magazine named AT&T Inc. the company of the year. The top 50 list for 2008 also includes Union Pacific Railroad, American Airlines, General Motors Corp., The Coca-Cola Co. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
