Chicago South Shore & South Bend Railroad (CSS) President Henry Lampe recently was appointed to the Surface Transportation Board's Railroad-Shipper Transportation Advisory Committee (RSTAC).

He joins 14 other appointees from various large and small railroads, and shippers, including Union Pacific Railroad, CSX Transportation, Kansas City Southern, Pinsley Railroad Co., Chrysler, Exxon Mobil and the Packaging Corp. of America.

RSTAC serves as a forum to address matters of concern to small rail shippers and small railroads, such as rail-car supply, service, rates, competitive issues and dispute resolution procedures. Owned by Anacostia & Pacific Co. Inc., the 182-mile CSS was formed in 1989 and interchanges with 16 railroads.
