BNSF Railway Co. has named Lance French assistant vice president of technology services to succeed Jeff McIntyre, who will retire at May’s end. French will report to VP of Technology Services and Chief Information Officer Jo-ann Olsovsky.

Most recently general director of finance, French has held progressively responsible positions in revenue management, accounting, interline services and finance systems support joining BNSF in 1993.

Due to McIntyre's impending retirement, BNSF has reorganized some responsibilities within the technology services department:
• French's new team will support the railroad’s financial, human resources, sourcing and legal systems;
• AVP of Technology Services Lettie Haynes will support corporate communications, marketing, network development, technology services joint IT council leadership and staff management functions;
• AVP of Technology Services Bonnie Henn-Pritchard will support operations;
• AVP of Technology Services Beth Bonjour will support the Class I’s core infrastructure and architecture teams; and
• AVP of Telecommunications Gary Grissum will support telecommunications.
