Yesterday, Canadian Pacific announced it appointed Edmond Harris executive vice president and chief operations officer and Jane O'Hagan, senior VP of marketing and sales and chief marketing officer.

Reporting to President and Chief Executive Officer Fred Green, Harris will be responsible for all aspects of railroad operations, safety, customer service, engineering and mechanical in Canada and the United States. He most recently served as a consultant to North American Class Is — including CP — and regionals after retiring as CN's EVP of operations in 2007. Harris has more than 30 years of operations management experience in the North American rail industry and has held various executive positions at CN and Illinois Central Railroad.

Most recently SVP of strategy and yield, O'Hagan will assume responsibility for sales in addition to strategy, marketing, corporate communications and public affairs.

She served in CP's marketing and sales group early in her career before establishing and running a U.S. consulting firm for eight years. O'Hagan rejoined CP as assistant VP of strategy in 2002 and later assumed responsibility for product design, Canadian Pacific Logistics Services, government affairs and yield.
