Next year, Progressive Railroading will present the Freight Car & Locomotive Virtual Conference & Expo, a free online event. To be held April 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (EST), the web-based exposition and conference will connect rail decision makers and industry suppliers in a fashion similar to a traditional trade show.

The event will offer educational sessions, an exhibit hall, networking opportunities and a resource center. Educational sessions will focus on locomotive and rail-car market outlooks and perspectives, legislation affecting the rail-car market, short-line motive power, emission issues and passenger-car safety standards.

Attendees will be able to create a professional profile, chat with booth representatives, access a networking lounge, and tap online buying and selling opportunities.
