Watco assigns GMs to four short lines

Watco Cos. L.L.C. recently named Darrell Thompson, general manager of the Mississippi Southern Railroad and Vicksburg Southern Railroad; Brad Hayes, GM of the Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad: Todd Johns, GM of the Alabama Southern Railroad; and Chad Jasmin, GM of the South Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad.

Most recently GM of the Arkansas Southern Railroad, Thompson will continue in that role as well as serve as the GM for the two additional short liness. His prior Watco positions include trainmaster, terminal trainmaster, assistant trainmaster, engineer and conductor. Thompson previously served the DeQueen and Eastern Railroad in various capacities and held several positions at Kansas City Southern Railway Co. (KCSR).

Hayes most recently was assistant GM of the Kansas and Oklahoma. Since joining Watco in 1995, he has held various positions at several railroads, including engineer, conductor, assistant trainmaster and trainmaster.

Most recently a trainmaster, Johns joined Watco in 2009 as an assistant trainmaster. He previously held various positions at Norfolk Southern Railway and KCSR.

Jasmin most recently was GM of the Yellowstone Valley Railroad. He previously served BNSF Railway Co. in various roles, including conductor, trainmaster, assistant trainmaster, terminal manager (California) and superintendent of operations in Fargo, N.D.
