At its annual meeting earlier this month, the Soy Transportation Coalition elected officers for 2011.

The organization installed Ed Ulch as chairman, Patrick Knouff as vice chairman and Jerry Wyse as secretary-treasurer.

Ulch currently is vice chair of the National Biodiesel Board and serves on the Iowa Soybean Association's board. Knouff is a farmer and Wyse is a member of the Kansas Soybean Commission Board.

Comprised of nine state soybean boards, the American Soybean Association and United Soybean Board, the Soy Transportation Coalition in 2011 plans to explore and implement "solutions to improve the logistics system that serves U.S. agriculture," Ulch said in a prepared statement.
