A delegation from China’s Central South University (CSU) visited the Transportation Technology Center Inc. (TTCI) in Pueblo, Colo., on Jan. 9 to explore potential joint rail research and development exchanges. TTCI and CSU officials discussed the possibility of future collaboration and cooperation between the two organizations.

CSU is one of China’s top universities and has many rail transportation research and education programs, TTCI officials said in a prepared statement. The group that visited the center has conducted extensive research and testing in aerodynamics for high-speed trains, as well as train and vehicle component crashworthiness, they said.

In November, TTCI officials visited a number of high-speed rail test labs at CSU’s railway campus.
