American Railway Development Association announces speaker lineup for 107th annual meeting

The American Railway Development Association recently announced a list of speakers who will conduct presentations at the association's 107th annual meeting, which will be held June 2-5 at the Marines' Memorial Club and Hotel in San Francisco.

The speakers include:

• Alan Roach, senior vice president of business development for Watco Cos. L.L.C., who will be part of a panel on moving crude by rail;

• Brent Ogden, vice president of AECOM San Francisco, and Greg Greenway, executive director of the Peninsula Freight Rail Users Group, who will conduct a presentation titled, "Passenger Rail Projects and Interaction with Freight Rail;"

• Alan Sisk, director of technical services for Norfolk Southern Corp., Sal Macri, senior program manager for CN, John Hawkins, general director of real estate operations for Union Pacific Railroad, and Ben Smith, manager of GIS systems for BNSF Railway Co., who will present "Railroad Data - GIS, PTC and the Transformation from Departmental Data to Enterprise Data;"

• Skip Kalb, director of strategic development for BNSF, and Lauri Hennessey of the Alliance for Northwest Jobs and Exports, who will discuss export coal and railroads;

• Bob Johansen, assistant VP and director of ports and marine planning for AECOM, and Stephanie Lane, manager of industrial development for CSX Transportation, who will review port/rail projects;

• Steve Crosby, president of CSX Real Property, Sandy Rex, president of RMI Midwest, and Gary Rozmus, VP of Gannett Fleming Engineers, who will address the Rails to Trails Program and the CSX High Line project; and

• Melissa Hagan, senior regional environmental counsel for UP, Michael Steel, a partner at Morrison & Foerster, Michael Barr, a partner at Pillsbury, and Kirk Marckwald, the founder of and a principal at California Environmental Associates, who will discuss air emission issues related to rail operations and projects.
